As Chief Operating Officer at Sweetwater Capital, Ben DeBrocke is responsible for the national operations of the company. He brings more than 25 years of real estate experience to Sweetwater. His experience and leadership have been focused on developing and delivering technology-driven business services and solutions, providing outstanding client service, and driving profitable revenue growth.
From 1998 to joining Sweetwater in 2019, DeBrocke was the Chief Financial and Operations Officer for Century 21 Beggins Enterprises, the #1 Century 21 in the Southeast and #14 Century 21 franchise in the World. Responsible for over $10+ billion in sales across Florida during his 21 years, he led Century 21 Beggins Enterprises efforts to deliver best-in-class real estate services to thousands of clients. During his time at Century 21, his work didn’t go unnoticed. In 2014, DeBrocke won the Century 21 Global Technology Award for leveraging technology by developing software, systems and processes to maximize profit and lead response time. This was the first time this award was presented to a Florida franchise out of 8,000+ offices world-wide. DeBrocke was also recognized in 2018 as CFO of the Year finalist by the Tampa Bay Business Journal for all his accomplishments, among which included winning the St. Pete Times Top Places to Work Award in Tampa Bay for ten years in a row.
DeBrocke has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida and received his Master of Business Administration for Information Technology Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. He also holds several other Masters Certifications in Project Management as well as several national technology certifications which include the Microsoft Certified Systems Professional. DeBrocke is also a member of several professional organizations, Institute of Management Accountants and Project Management Institute.
Outside of work, DeBrocke loves spending time with his family and actively playing competitive tennis. He’s married to his wife Heather and they have two wonderful boys, Derek & Drew who are also competitive tennis players. His tennis accolades include a few Men’s State Championships and the ultimate highlight of representing Florida in the Men’s National Championship in 2018 and 2019, which includes placing 4th in the 2019 Men’s Doubles National Championship.
